“Don’t judge by his appearance or height, for I have rejected him. The Lord doesn’t make decisions the way you do! People judge by outward appearance, but the Lord looks at a person’s thoughts and intentions.” – 1 Samuel 16:7 – The Book
How often do we say one thing and mean/feel another thing?
How many times throughout the day do we feel sadness, depression, loneliness, forgotten, worthless, emptiness, useless, upset, anger, agitation, aggression, rejection, betrayal, misunderstood, and the likes?
How often do we pretend to have others best interest at heart, but really only have our own interest at best?
Do our thoughts and our intentions match what’s in our hearts?
It is said that the heart is a metaphor for the inner life. So, how is your heart today? What is it reflecting back to you? “For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of.” – Matthew 12:34 – NIV
Take a moment right now and examine your heart, examine your thoughts, and examine your intentions. How would the Holy Spirit view your overflow?
In my book, Yes Speak To Our Hearts, Holy Spirit- Through Our Daily Practice of Listening, Recognizing, and Using Your Unlimited Gifts and Power, open and turn to page 127 to read “Names and Words”, and be reminded that our thoughts and our intentions flow from the vibration of our hearts.
Until the next time, let your heart be filled with goodness and mercy.
